Feature Roadmap Update: Phone Interview Support Now in Beta

We’re excited to share an important update to our feature roadmap: phone interview support is now in beta testing.

What’s New

Based on direct feedback from our customers, we’ve been developing phone interview capabilities to complement Malia’s existing voice conversation features. This enhancement will allow candidates to participate in screening interviews via traditional phone calls, in addition to our web-based interface.

This capability builds on Malia’s existing real-time voice interviews and helps ensure that every candidate—regardless of internet access—can participate in the screening process.

Why Phone Support Matters

Malia already delivers 24/7, browser-based voice interviews that reduce screening time by 60%+ and save hiring teams 15+ hours each week. But some candidates face challenges with internet reliability or device access. Based on direct customer feedback, adding phone support would:

• Increase candidate accessibility - Not all candidates have reliable internet access
• Improve completion rates - Some candidates prefer the familiarity of phone interviews
• Expand reach - Makes screening available to candidates in any location or situation

Current Status: Beta Testing

We’ve begun beta testing with select customers to ensure the phone interview experience maintains the same quality and natural conversation flow you expect from Malia. Early results are promising, and we’re refining the feature based on real-world usage.
